CHANGES FOR OUR HEALTH POLICIES below. Effective July 10, 2023 we will no longer check for vaccination status and are designating specific events as Mask-Required or Mask-Optional on our schedule.

Commencing 5/9/22 and for the foreseeable future, we're conducting private contra dance events. To best help protect the health of all attendees at Monday Contras events, we expect participants to agree to the following health measures to be allowed entry:

(1) FOR DESIGNATED MASK-REQUIRED [MASK REQ] EVENTS ONLY: To wear a well-fitted N95 (or established COMMERCIAL equivalent) mask anywhere inside the building at all times (except for *brief* sips of a beverage) and not eat inside the building. In the best interest of an effective event, performers ONLY (and ONLY while on stage) may opt to unmask for their performance - provided they have a negative COVID-19 test in the window of 24 to 4 hours before the eventwhy?.

For designated Mask-Optional [OPT Mask] events ONLY: masks of any form are welcome, as are participants without masks.

(2) AT EACH EVENT to show PROOF of up-to-date vaccination (primary series completion plus 1 booster, if eligible) at the door for entry. We no longer check for vaccination status at entry.

(3) To not modify the hall ventilation setup, unless directed by the organizers.

(4) TO NOT ATTEND IF FEELING ILL AT ALL, including any COVID-19 symptoms such as: cough, congestion or runny nose, headache, fatigue, muscle or body aches, fever or chills, loss of smell or taste, diarrhea, nausea or vomiting, and/or shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.

(5) If you had COVID-19 in the 14 days before the dance, to have a negative test result prior to attending (after the 5-day minimum isolation period has ended and all symptoms are gone).

(6) If you had close contact with someone with COVID-19 in the 14 days before the dance, to have a negative rapid test result on the day of the dance prior to attending.

(7) To NOTIFY THE ORGANIZERS if you test positive for COVID-19 in the 10 days following a dance, to permit us to notify other participants (personal privacy will be respected).

(8) That you acknowledge and assume the risk of being exposed to or contracting COVID-19 at this event and affirm that your participation in this recreational activity is entirely voluntary. You recognize at this stage of the COVID-19 health situation it is almost certain someone at the event may have or have recently been exposed to the virus. You accept that your actions and representations have impact to help protect others as well as yourself. You further absolve the dance’s organizers, performers, and volunteers, as well as the Concord Scout House, Inc., its leadership, and its members, of any liability for you risking exposure to COVID-19 at this event and/or any outcome from such possible exposure.

Should there be any question as to the meaning of any health terms in the above, the then current US CDC site related content shall apply.

In agreement? Then you're welcome to join us for our next upcoming event.

Why must performers asking to unmask test by 4 hours before the event? Because a positive result will make it very difficult to find alternative talent for the event to go on (yes, it did happen to us!).
